A total list of all parts/materials required to manufacture a product.
2. File format:
It is recommended to use files with the extension ".csv". Supported document formats:
1>The extension is ".CVS"
2>The extension is “.xls”
3>The extension is “.xisx”
3. File style source:
It is recommended to use the default output BOM format closest to Altum Designer. Although the style is ugly, it is the most compatible. Or look at the map below.
4. Format conversion:
All Exoel series (such as Microsoft Excel2003, 2007) software can export files with the extension ".CSV" format. Any version editor can edit and create.
5. The order of fields (columns, headers, column names, titles) and the fields (column names) that must be included in the file:
1:Comment,2: Description 3: Designator,4: Footprint, 5: LibRef, 6: Pins, 7: Quantity,8:Items
6. Field (column) description:
1:Camment is used to describe the model number of the device. Specifications, errors, etc. If there are no special needs for resistors and capacitors, just indicate the resistance or capacity directly. If there are special needs, the accuracy, pressure resistance, material, etc. must be marked. Such as "100nF 20% 50V X7R", "10K1%"
2:Description is used as a descriptive name, etc. Such as chip resistors and chip thermistors
3: Designator is used to describe the device and the corresponding "number" on the drawing. Such as R201, R20, C100, U1
Note: The reference number is not case-sensitive. All letters will be converted to uppercase and then associated with the coordinate definition.
If you do use case to distinguish different types, be sure to change it.
4: Faotprint is used to describe device packaging. Such as 0402, 0805, SSOP-8
5:LbRef no requirement
6:Pins is used to describe the number of pads used to describe the device. If the number of pads of the SOT-23-3 transistor is "3", fill in 3. This column can be further divided into two columns: live broadcast and placement. Finally, you can count the number of direct insertion and placement pads of the single board for pricing.
7:Quantity
The quantity of materials used.
8: Precise search by serial number (optional).
After the engineer organizes the BOM, it is required when placing an order. Use the serial number as a distinction. Note: When the component number does not correspond to the package description.

Note (2) Expression of position without pasting or welding
Positions that are not pasted cannot appear in the bill of materials. For example, if R10 is not welded, R10 cannot appear in the bill of materials. You can separate the originals that are not pasted and put them together, and then delete them together during production.
